Abstract

We review common misuses of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) in psychology and management research, propose a decision tree for model specification, and illustrate best-practice reporting with three empirical examples. A checklist for reviewers and a companion R package are provided as supplementary materials.

The revision resolves my concerns about model comparison and the reviewer checklist. I support acceptance after routine copyediting.

The package documentation is now sufficient for readers to reproduce the examples. I recommend acceptance.
